Ancient Building

The village of Mervans is situated in Burgundy on the crossroads of different departmental roads through the French countryside.

Much traffic passes every day, heading for all points of the compass, never stopping. And that's a pity! Because there's a lot to see in Mervans.

Most interesting are the houses on the old market place. There a huge building, signposted as a wooden house from the 15th century.

Here's a detail of this building with the original wooden pillars and in the background a 'Boulangerie', a baker's shop, closed a long time ago ... ;)
