Paddington Bear Is My Dad

In September I will be shooting my TV Grad Project and today we went off looking for locations.

It's a live music show - kind of a cross between Top of the Pops, Top Gear, The Box and TFI Friday - the idea being that a small number of artists will perform in front of a live audience and then be interviewed in a very informal way.

The pilot episode - the one we'll be shooting - is based around unsigned acts and helping to introduce them to a wider audience.

It's a multi-camera shoot with the edit being performed live by a vision mixer.

The director wanted to find a location that had multiple rooms spread over a number of floors and No. 33 Portland Place ticks all the boxes.

It's been used for filming many times before, and many of you will recognise the wall and sofa in the photo above from the Academy Award Winning film 'The Kings Speech.'

Tomorrow I'm back on driving duties for my friends grad film. We're also on a night shoot, which is double the fun. Still the cast and crew are a good bunch so it should actually be a laugh.
