Beef & Gar and the Stick

This morning we headed out to meet some friends for food. These friends do not have little ones quite yet (days away in one case, which is very exciting) which means we met them for their breakfast and our lunch at 11am.

It was great to catch up and see how they are as these days. We dont get out much to non-children based events, and lets face it if they turned up at some of the groups we go to it would not be long till they ended up on a register, and so we dont see them as much as we should.

It also meant we got to give one of our friends, who incidently has recently obtained the nickname of "The Beautiful", which I heard as "Beef & Gar" (which I prefer), a gift that I recently obtained in a charity shop in a town oop north.

The gift was a drum stick signed by Phil Collins and our friend was over the moon to get it. He is quite the Genesis fan. In fact I don't think I have ever seen him so excited, not since that Wimbledon when Cliff sang in the rain anyway.

After brunch we headed to a park to watch a dog show, it was not a lot of fun. To be honest it was not even a little bit of fun but did waste a couple of hours before hometime.

On the way back the sun was getting to Toddler who exclaimed she was hot. Wife said "Too hot?" and Toddler relplied "No, I am three hot!"
I think she was probably right!
