feed the birds (50 pence a bag)

well today was a lovely day in the Lakes. a lazy start with friends after a late one last night - staying up drinking wine, rose port (a new one...) and just chatting about good old times and the exciting future.

our guests cooked a super breakfast for us before we all headed into Windermere. couldn't belive how mad busy it was! had a relaxed wander around - saw some curious sights including a dog in a buggy and a Chinese couple having wedding pictures taken while feeding the swans - i imagine they're beautiful shots but unfortunately my quick snaps didn't do the couple justice.

so instead, here's a shot of the crowds feeding the swans on the shores of Windermere. however, in particular, the lady on the left hand side of the shot was so cute! half excited about the prospect of feeding these majestic birds, and meanwhile half terrified of losing her hand! very cute.

had hoped to get some nice landscape shots, but these will have to wait (fingers crossed) for later in the week.

chilling in the cottage now with M&M as our guests have returned to Glasgow.

it's a wonderful life.
