morning dew

a rainy day in the Lakes. a wee walk through fields to the lovely smells of the rainy countryside this morning, before M had to head to work for a late shift.

a wander into Windermere to get the messages and then mum arrived for a wee visit. a real pity it's raining but we spent some time in Windermere before driving along to Ambleside and Grasmere. it really is picture postcard pretty in these parts. you can see why Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter were inspired!

Now just cooking a late dinner for M getting home for work. champers will be opened shortly. another lovely evening.

hope the weather perks up but in the meantime, a quick blip of the morning dew on plants growing on the wall outside of the cottage. i love fresh rainy mornings like this.
