Bike Path

Bike path doesn't really do it justice.

This amazing cycle lane runs all away along one shore of Lake Annecy and goes for 30 kilometres or more.

It is on the track bed of an old railway which, itself, must have been pretty spectacular.

Son #1 loved it and even, occasionally, stuck to the rules of the road. We must have cycled about 15-18 kilometres which is not a bad start for a six year old.

Son #2 was sat behind me on the bike seat. He was loving it too. Is 3 too young to expect him to ride 18 kilometres?!

Glorious weather, early start, great lunch by the lake, back to too many goes on a water slide (target age 7-14 I suspect- not 40!) and then an unavoidable trip to the supermarket.

We're now all sitting in the shade and Son #1 is using the Spray On Savlon as a bazooka (he fell off his bike). I have been secretly watching Son #1 make preliminary moves to make friends with other little boys. I can't interfere with this controlled experiment for fear of affecting the outcome!

Cider awaits.

This holiday lark could really catch on!
