Mystery Bug

Look LARGE
Thank you to Ashmeister for classifying this little beastie. It's a Female Gasteruption jaculator.

The females of this parasitic wasp lays its eggs by its long ovipositor on the body of larvae of solitary bees or wasps. On hatching its young larvae will devour grubs and supplies of pollen and nectar of its victim. The adults grow up to 10?17 millimetres (0.39?0.67 in) long and can mostly be encountered from May through September

Feeling extremely poorly today, throat, ears and glands in the neck all playing up! Seems to be one virus after the other at the moment, not good when you have 3 children off for the summer holidays and hubby working late all week!

Still must get on with it, take some painkillers and get the monsters dinner's ready :D

Enjoy your evening everyone, I apologise for being behind with commenting!
