Wet diggers

Although working today, I managed down to the dig at the Ness of Brodgar for the three o'clock guided tour. Unfortunately, the rain battered down for most of the tour.

Sandra, the guide, did well in the conditions, but it was tough, especially when the diggers abandoned the site rather than struggle in the mire.

We were shown a couple of recently-found artefacts including a figurine about 4500 years old. They had to show them through a window of a cabin though, because of the rain, so no decent photo possible.
