Vinstrie

Now at 63+ degrees North at Trondheim.

This lake at Vinstrie was about a third of the way on our journey from Voss to Trondheim.

A total of 350 miles on Norwegian roads took us 9 hours and was made up of sea level twice up as high as 1500m and through tunnels including the 15 mile tunnel near Laerdal. Maximum speed limit in Norway is 50mph except for a few areas where it reaches a whole 56mph but with the roads clinging to the mountainside it is perhaps understandable. Closer to Trondheim where the land is a bit more open the roads were pretty good.

Rain during the journey for the first time just after this shot was taken.

Norway was once described to me as Scotland on steroids and good examples of that today.
