The Weymouth Seaside Express

I know steam engines don't excite everyone in the same way as middle-aged men (I might rephrase that) but I'm rather pleased with this shot of 5029 Nunney Castle hauling the Weymouth Seaside Express through Dorchester on its way back to Bristol.

It was raining at the time and that might explain why the light shining through the steam and smoke under the bridge seems to have turned orange? Any other theories would be welcome.

There were a couple of other excited middle-aged men with cameras at the same spot so we had a happy few minutes discussing cameras and trains. One poor chap's camera froze in the full zoom position when he took a shot of it coming round the bend, so he couldn't get the shot he really wanted as it powered past. His was the Fujifilm equivalent of my Panasonic Lumix, which had a similar fault (or at least the first one did, this one seems OK - touch wood). Most distressing.

Many thanks for your comments on my 200th yesterday
