The Fife Shore

Saturday began with a flat calm (good news for the lobster fisherman) so we cruised along the coast checking out harbours, nudging into West Wemyss and getting as close to Lower Largo as the falling tide would allow; with the kettle continually on the go. Then, the wind got up from the SE and once we got to Elie Ness we sailed up to Anstruther very nicely. I was surprised to see how quickly some other yachts sailed past us - they were taking part in some Granton to Anstruther race. We weren't, but we weren't deliberately going slowly, either,
Anyway, as soon as we arrived it rained. And rained and rained and rained and rained. But of course it didn't dampen our enthusiasm blah blah. I sat under the boom tent and had a whisky.
