Jess & Molly Law

Visitors

Our niece visited today with her two daughters. Jess & Molly were not quite sure what had happened to disturb their peace!

We tried to persuade Molly to pose by offering some treats. Molly was not too sure, but showed - as usual - that she could resist anything except temptation! Jess was a little more reluctant to come close, but she did agree to sit at a distance for a group photo.

====================

A day of high drama.
Before out visitors arrived, Jess & Molly went for an early morning stroll in Keil Den. They have been here often, but today they found something dramatic. At a place where the road crosses Keil Burn, there has been an overnight landslip. They took a couple of photos on Mrs jml's mobile phone, and dialled 999. The bridge looks to be in a dangerous condition, and Jess/Molly think that they did an extremely important job in alerting the Police.

Just a short while later, back at the house, there was an excited collection of small birds on our roof. One of their number had stuck its neck under a roof-tile. Unfortunately, it had then got stuck in this position and was struggling desperately to release itself, but it could not. Mrs jml climed up to the roof and used a walking-pole to push the bird out of the place where it was trapped. I was convinced that it would be badly injured and that we would have to wring its neck to put it out of its misery. But as soon as it was free, up it hopped and away it flew!
