Yellow Shell

Spent about 3 hours at the allotment today; weeding, harvesting, starting a new compost bin off. Annoyingly, when I had finished, it still didn't look like anyone had been there for weeks...
The courgette flood has started, we will never manage to eat enough to keep up!
I did spot this pretty wee moth, the Yellow Shell Moth (Camptogramma bilineata) sitting on a courgette leaf,
One of my Guides to British Moths says that the caterpillar "... feeds on the foliage of chickweed, dock, grasses and other low-growing plants." So we don't have an untidy allotment, I've just created an ecosystem! Hoorah!

Probably best appreciated in embiggification mode...
