Gatekeeper

Lots of rain showers today. The sun was shining by the time I got home and the garden was alive with bees and hoverflies. This butterfly was trying to get a look in. I'm not sure what this plant is (I think I bought it from a BBOWT plant sale years ago), but it really attracts the insects and looks very pretty when in flower. The butterfly flashed its wings when any hoverflies came close and managed to scare them off. I liked the way the sun shone through the butterfly's wings.
