Glorious 12th

So it appears to be the start of the grouse shooting season? Not a big part of my life to be honest - but I'm in rural Scotland, again, and it fairly seems to dominate things! This Famous Grouse caught my eye during lunch - he is rather dashing.

But without a doubt, the most exciting aspect of today was visiting a Neolithic archaeological dig site, with dwellings, and postholes, evidence of a timber circle - in fact several concentric timber circles: 6000 years old, just about Bronze Age. Very cool.

Today I say: take the time, and tread lightly.
