Hopping around!

Dunwich Lizard

Well, we've had an exciting day at Dunwich. This little fella had to be my blip as I'm pretty sure I'll not be seeing another one of these any time soon.

We had tea and chips at the car park tea room and went for a long walk.

Dunwich Heath was resplendent with heathers of all shades of purple and was buzzing with bees, wasps and hoverflies.

We saw a tiny frog, so well camouflaged on the woodland floor.

We saw Morris Dancers dancing at the Coastguard Cottages tearooms.

We saw a tall ship way out to sea.

And finally we saw a big brown hare running along the road. When it saw us, it leapt up the bank into the field.

I photographed all except the hare (a bit too speedy!)

However, the lizard is it for today. Mr H spotted him as we went through a gate, the lizard had been sunning himself on the fence. The bracken was causing shadows and he was a little bit shy.

It was a grand day out.
