For Annette

This is a small portion of the beautiful bouquet hanging on Annette's gate and a peek at her front door. Dear Annette won't be answering that door anymore - our dock and her family/friends lost her and her great energy and panache last Wednesday evening. Annette was French born and came to the US during WWII as a teen. She carried her kayak to her car early in the mornings (we would meet at 6 or so and giggle as she headed off to big water and I too my shell on the lake) - BUT Annette was in her late 70's at the time. She had her house and long dining table full of people for dinner all the time. She walked 3 miles too and from her workplace when she was 80 plus. It is hard to believe she is gone and that her house will not have her there.
