Brad's Coming To Town

It's not often you can pop out for a bit lunch and find yourself transported to the streets of Philadelphia on the corner of 16th and J F Kennedy Boulevard. But for the next few weeks Glaswegians and visitors to Glasgow's George Square can do just that.

Pretty sure if you have listened to the news or bought a paper in the UK today you will know that Brad Pitt is coming to town to film some of his new movie, World War Z, in Glasgow. Its a zombie film apparently and a colleague's friend has got a gig as one of the extras. Sounds a laugh.

Anyway, after the Piping championships in the square last week, the set builders spent the day starting to transform the place into Philadelphia. Traffic lights and signs were being taken down and replaced with ones like this blip. The cars are all yellow taxi's and police state troopers.

I will be amazed if there isn't a few blips like this today as the square was packed with cameras. I imagine over the next three weeks, there will be some pretty good shots from here.
