Gridlock

My worst nightmare.

I had a doctor's appointment early in the morning (40 miles from home) in the city which meant leaving at about 6:30 am. Rush hour.

Then I hit the sign of summer...road construction.

Frankly, I have no idea what they were doing. I didn't see any machinery, just a few construction workers milling about, but traffic had slowed to a crawl and the only cars really moving were the ones turning right.

I was tapping on the wheel and squirming about, I was so anxious and frustrated.

Fortunately, it lasted only about a quarter mile so I was able to break free. I barely made it to my appointment on time, but my blood pressure was elevated. I wonder why?
