I grew up in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York, moved to southern Maryland where I lived and taught math and science for 23 years before the stigma of mental illness forced me into retirement at the age of 48.  In 2007, I followed my mom to southern Arizona, between Tucson and Mexico, where I live today. Blipping has been my salvation; the community: my family.

I am fortunate that my Mom is still with me but life is a daily struggle as we deal with the realities of Alzheimer's disease and my questionable health.

Mom passed away in my our home on 8 September 2019, one month before she turned 85 years old. She would have been happy to know it was the day we celebrated the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
