Parsley Caterpillar Afterlife

Finished work a bit early so off I went to the park, camera in hand. It was peaceful along the lake and the little streams and there were butterflies and bees buzzing all around me. Very relaxing and I found myself just sitting and enjoying the moment.

This lovely black swallowtail was putting on a quite a show for me, displaying his beautiful form and color. I wondered if he might be the result of one of my crop of cheery parsley caterpillars from last month... nice thought.
