Bathroom View

This is the view from our downstairs bathroom (isn't it great to have a window in the bathroom?). Best viewed large.

I can imagine many more scenic views, but at least there's space, light and a nice sense of perspective. It's the parking lot for the large condominium next door, which was converted from the old Northampton jail in the 1980's. The project received a local Historic Preservation award in 1988 (ironically, in 2003 the same award was given to our former condominium--the very one that's being replaced by the Big House).

On this summer morning the parking lot was relatively empty, with many residents at work or on vacation. The cherry picker had just been dropped off by a large trailer; it was destined for roof work.
