Dutchess County Fair

Our hosts took us today to the 167th annual Dutchess County Fair, in perfect not-too-warm weather. It's in the Hudson River Valley, about two hours drive north of Manhattan. By all means view this BIG to see the details.

There were many possible blips today, but this conveys an atmosphere that, for better or worse, most people associate with such a fair. I especially enjoyed seeing the farm animals, especially those raised by youngsters (4H members), and there was a fascinating show of dog agility--local dogs doing a course with jumps, hoops, tunnels, climbs and other obstacles--totally new for me. And of course much, much more.
