Construct of Magic

Playing with the macro again tonight.

This flower head is - in reality - about the size of my thumb, made up of all these wee tiny flowers.

And when you see it close up, see how incredibly detailed, and complex, and amazing it is, it just leaves me in awe.

I also wonder, why is it constructed the way it is? Does it do an amazing job of attracting butterflies and bees, thanks to its shape and design? Probably. But it also seems like magic - beautiful, natural, magic.

This magic has been happily getting on and casting its spell in my garden every year, in balance with the seasons, winds, sun, rain and snow. Magic within magic...
