Warriors

So, tonight we took ourselves to Sixways to watch a pre-season warm-up match: Worcester Warriors v Argentina. (Argentina!!!)

Really enjoyed the match - it was very tight, right to the end. The final score was Warriors 15, Los Pumas 21 - they'd been behind until they scored a great runaway try just before the end.

Tips for the world cup? I'd try to avoid the Argentina rush defence - they were up on the warriors back line incredibly fast. Also, the no 7 for Argentina looks a bit lively.

And for the Warriors, Rasmussen and Grove were a very good centre partnership, and Carlile was very strong at no 10. He was replaced before the end by Andy Goode, who may have eaten one too many pies but still has fantastic hands and reads the game with clarity.

This is the Warriors squad after the final whistle - confusingly the pumas wanted to wear their change strip, so worcester also had to wear theirs, meaning that the teams were effectively wearing each other's home strips... anyway, come on you blues!
