SUNDERLAND POINT

Birding today but not for what G had hoped. I think the wind may have blown the Black Redstart away. Bank Holiday, August 28th, and we were dressed in fleece, hats, and gloves, though unfortunately not waterproofs when the heavens opened. The wind blew our clothes dry again very quickly though.

After Heysham,we drove to the tidal approach of Sunderland Point, and decided to have an early lunch before attempting the crossing. G has already lost one car to floods, a company car, but now he has his own car he has a different mind set. Though I bet he would have launched my Micra through the waves without a care.

It was beautiful over on Sunderland Point. I could easily live there, the changing and challenging weather must become part of breathing.
