Craster cottage

I had a very good photographic day out today. It was a B & W workshop with David Taylor of Hexham. We went first to Craster and did an exercise where we used different filters in camera to compare the results. There were colourful lobster pots and buoys by the harbour to use for this (plus David's two assistants "Naomi and Kate" who modelled for us..........may put a link in so you can see them sometime!)

This is a cottage by the harbour. The sky was great and I thought I could produce the full tonal range in the image. No time to edit anything else tonight.

The rest of the day was dominated by "soft light", aka rain, which made life more challenging. It didn't stop us though. We were at Hawick for the wonderful rocks on the beach and at Boulmer for the old tractors (I took photos of the seagulls instead.)
