Shrewsbury Folk Festival #3

So, today was another day packed to the brim with folk. Marvellous.

There was a procession of all the morris sides from the village stage to the dance tent, which just happened to go past us as we sat in a little spot of sun outside the beer tent. These are the Volkstanzgruppe Lindwurm, from Austria. They certainly cut a dash among all the hankies, bells and sticks of traditional English morris dancing.

Today's highlights were the clogfest in the main tent, Gerry O'Connor, the Sweetback Sisters and the Imagined Village.
Today's downside was not being able to get into the Cecil Sharp Project - why they didn't put it on in the main stage is beyond me, as there must have been hundreds of us who weren't able to get into the second stage. :o( But it meant that we got to see the Sweetback Sisters again, and got fantastic seats for the Imagined Village, so it's not all bad!
