Dunfermline Abbey

Went for a walk through Dunfermline's 'Heritage Quarter' to clear the head after work tonight. Was very quiet and I think I spotted more pigeons and squirrels than people. Finding that photography is quite a relaxing pastime as well as an enjoyable one. A wee bit of escapism is no bad thing.

Took some shots of the cottage where Andrew Carnegie was born, the City Chambers and its clock tower, the Dunfermline Palace ruins, Abbott House and tonight's blip, Dunfermline Abbey. A beautiful building, both interior and exterior, located in the heart of the town centre (or city depending on your view!). Speaking of hearts, that is the one body part of King Robert the Bruce that is not buried here. A wee bit more on the history here.

The last shots I took at the Abbey were at my cousin's wedding a few years ago. Realised tonight there are a ton of great blips on the doorstep without having to travel that far.

Speaking of travel, Manchester tomorrow and a 4:30am start, so bedtime.
