Striding out

Today the Haltwhistle long walkers had an away day at the seaside. We drove to Belford, took the bus to Bamburgh and then walked back to Belford. After the walk we had tea with scones, cakes and other goodies at the home of B and M - delicious.

I did not intend to shoot this in mono, but I'd forgotten to change the camera settings back after the shoot on Sunday. (Mental note: always check the settings before you set out for the day.) I rather like the image in mono - it has a slightly unreal feel to it. (The in camera filter was red.) Best viewed large

Here is the other contender for today's blip. This reminded me strongly of old fashioned post cards. It's something to do with the light and the colours.
