Ceresota Flour ...

... Always Desirable.

I was tempted to title this "Disappearing Northampton"--I've shot it many times, and now I'm finally posting it. I pass it on Market St. every time I walk downtown. It's a "ghost sign", and Goggle reveals many exactly in this vein! The building now houses the "Market Street Healing Collective", a group of doctors practicing holistic medicine. The building bears a plaque saying that it's on the National Register of Historic Places, though I can't find it on the official website.

As best I can tell, Creosota flour is a brand derived from Italian flours, and it was particularly popular in the Chicago area.
