A quiet day at home

Lots of catch up with here today - bits and pieces on the computer, a few preparations for tomorrow's big birthday, lots of tidying up in the garden.

This afternoon the light was perfect to take pictures of the birds coming to the tasty food I'd put out on logs and twigs for them. I sat in the hide but the birds quickly disappeared. The culprit was Carla who was sitting on the low stone wall, watching to see if any field mice came by. She would not go inside the house...........

Later the light was much more contrasty and behind the birds but I had to make do with it. Here is a great tit enjoying the porridge and seed mix.

We need an early night ready for tomorrow.
