Copenhagen and Me.

Our House

.....looks down on this one and in the late afternoon sun this whole abandoned building looks absolutely stunning, with crooked doors, peeling paint and rusty bars it's got all the textures and colours you could hope for in a photo. There is a subtle meaning behind the title as well. If you check out the hill/mountain in the background you will see some houses - these are next door to my parents summer house (it's right behind the trees in fact). It was them that introduced me to this island as a reward for failing all my A' levels back when I was 18 (OK, reward isn't exactly the right word but unfortunately that's how it turned out). It's way up, at least 430 steps up, from the harbour village we're staying in today and it is frequently said to have one of the best views on the island and as a consequence is very popular for renting.

There is a small possibilty of my first back Blip on Sunday as it could be a long and messy one with a boat trip round the island with a few friends and a small anniversary to celebrate. 9 11 means something a bit special for me and the missus. We met for the first time, here, on September 11 2001 and for some reason the date sticks in your mind.
