Holiday Monday

Stirling in the rain on a holiday Monday.

I still had to get up to drop Nay at the station so I drove up to the castle and wandered around there a bit until the rain came on again. There was a rainbow right across the carse and landing on the castle but that quickly got shifted to make way for the next downpour.

Still haven't been able to get the fare down below £16 a day but I think there is a combo trick involving a young Scot card, a youth rail card, a slaughtered chicken and a copy of the Daily Mail or Sun which will allow travel at peak times at discount.

We thought about going to Perth later today and could bring him back so I asked if he could buy a return going today and using it for the return tomorrow. "No. That's only for places further away like Dundee".

Listening to the weather forecasts for later, this is as good as it gets. I persuaded Nay to take the brolley but a coat was out of the question.
