Tea @ Kingston Lacey

If you're driving through Dorset & needing a cup of tea, you should stop at The National Trust's property at Kingston Lacey. It's on the B3082, near Wimbourne Minster (just off the A31). The house was shut but we went around the gardens, which are lovely. We also had a beautiful cream tea in the old stable block- now converted into a cafe. The house itself is stunning and absolutely worth visiting. This made a welcome stopping point on the post-holiday schlep from Totnes to Brighton...*SO* much nicer than motorway services, 'Happy' (!!) Eaters or other roadside stopoffs....
