A Favourite Place

This is my favourite place in the world- the woodlands at the end of my road. I go down there most days. I grew up on the same street I live on now, and many of my favourite childhood memories involve these woods. Bike rides with my sister, blackberry picking, cutting through the woods to go with my grandad to collect his pit pension. I love that my three year-old son is going to have similar memories.

I love that no matter what is happening in my day, a brisk walk in the woods never fails to clear my head and cheer me up.
