The Clock's Ticking

318 days until the start of the Olympic Games, London 2012. These giant Olympic rings greet you on arrival into St Pancras international train station. They are huge! 70 feet long, 30 feet high and they sit in front of the station clock. In order to get the shot I really wanted where the clock is situated in centre of the red ring, I would've had to climb on the roof of a train and that's a climb too far!

St Pancras is where the javelin shuttle service will leave from to take visitors to the Olympic Park near Stratford.

I am normally rushing through this station, either to get to the tube for the office or to get the train back out to Luton for the airport, but it's a great building, mix of Victorian and contemporary architecture.

Regular visitors to my journal - the wind calmed down a bit and flight down was fine. Arrived in London to blue sky and not a breath of wind versus the 50-60 mile an hour winds when I left at 5am.
