A further view of DCH

The photograph was taken sitting in the car in front of the hospital in Dorchester waiting for N after his usual Saturday morning appointment. This part of the exterior is colourful with its blue and red meccano-like detail. On entering one has a feeling of light and space. It was opened in 1998 by Her Majesty the Queen. A great improvement on the old one which was designed by Benjamin Ferrey and completed in 1841. That building was built in grey Portland stone and the exterior was designed to look like a manor house and so much smaller, situated in the town centre. It has now been converted into flats.

K's boss the dentist and his daughters visited the farmyard and chose a kitten for themselves. They took my favourite the ginger one. We have two black with white markings remaining. It paid off to tame them as soon as they were discovered as they have ferrel farm cat parentage.

T is working hard again removing the straw bales from the fields and stacking them in the barn for the winter. P from New Zealand is giving us a few days help on the farm which is great for T!
