Anyone for cricket?

This is the new cricket ground at the Kinross house estate. The land owners have kindly given permission for the towns cricketers, to have the opportunity to play cricket.

The club almost disbanded 3 years ago through lack of interest, but a couple with two talented cricketing sons and a huge amount of positivity, turned it round.
A year after they took it on they engendered so much interest, that the under 13 year olds team won the Spirit of cricket cup against the rest of the established teams in Scotland and was voted the Team of the year in Perth and Kinross. Since then they retained their Cup last year and their under 15's joined them in the double, winning their cup.

Rightly so, the head coach was awarded coach of the year. Without him and his wife these kids would not have the chance to reach for the Freddie Flintoff experience.

We thanks you John and Kirsteen and its not such a bad place to sit and listen to the willow hitting the leather in the sunny evenings of summer. (we hope).
