OUT AND ABOUT ..

Mr H decided to take his horse Larry to the local western club"s ribbon day as a very first outing. A nice low key affair with easy classes of walk/jog as well as more competitive classes. This would be the first time he's ridden his young QH anywhere other than home, or at someone's place with more than one other horse in the arena at the same time.

We decided to make a night of it evern though it was only 15mins down the road, just to let Larry get used to somewhere else, to let Mr H ride him in the arena a couple of times on Saturday, to use the wash down facillities to clean him up of all the paddock mud! lol

Mr H had a blast riding him around the arena, a couple of other people where there too, so he got to see how Larry behaved with more people around him and horses going to and fro. Because Larry behaved so well, Mr H decided to enter him in the more competitve youth classes.

This photo is the two of them having a wee bareback blat around the arena after the training sessions and after the wash... its almost dark... lol - BOYS!!
