Mes petites vacances à Paris

Well good old Easyjet were late again!
- Off to Paris today with my sister and our flight was delayed over an hour and a half (a long time in a short weekend break!) with no explanation until we boarded the plane and even then only a scant apology and very little detail about what actually caused the problem.

A smooth flight & we finally arrived in Charles de Gaulle airport - after the slowest shuttle bus pickup in the world we were off on the road to Paris itself.
We finally arrived at the hotel, 20 minutes after our dinner reservation was booked on the other side of town. Couldn't believe the heat when we got off the bus.
Our hotel was nice and in a great area near the Opera, slight wee hitch with the air conditioning but the room was fine.

We dumped our bags and went right out over to the Pompidou Centre where we finally found a restaurant where we had some very yummy Moules et Frites and a big old beer. We decided to walk off dinner by heading over to the Louvre to see it lit up at night. As you can see it looks lovely and we finally felt like we were properly on holiday - even if we were knackered and hot!
