Thar She Blows

My work mate Paul, who has ignited my interest in blacksmithing, found me a fan this morning. He actually went through the recycle bin from the panel beaters next door to where we work. I was thrilled when he presented me with this car fan unit. From a wreckers I would probably pay $50 or more for what I have in my hands.

What am I going to do with it? Well it will be the forced air supply to my forge once I have modified it.

Tonight all I did was stripped out all the extra wires and connected it up to a battery. It worked!

I call that a good result.
