Writing a PhD in Photos

Reading (PhD Day 13)

Yesterday was a reading-heavy day. That stack of papers under "Fish into Wine" are all double-sided print outs of journal articles. I find I need to print them out to take notes all over them or I don't remember a thing.

The notepad in front are my notes on Fish into Wine, which is about settlement patterns in Newfoundland, and how they're related to the trade of fish. I'm finding it really interesting! The big problem with the reading-speed for the PhD, though, is that you don't really have a lot of time to savour something. So this is on my "to read again" list because I do want to actually sort out how the fish-trade was accomplished, not just its consequences.
