Monday Washday

My mother always washed on a Monday. Today was sunny with a nice breeze for drying the clothes. Washing is much easier now we have washing machines but my mother filled up the deep sink and scrubbed the clothes then put them through the wringer then rinsed them and put them through again. It was hard work and she was at it all day. How lucky we are to pop them into the washing machine.
