Misty sheep

Very short tonight, as I have limited computer time. Pete has a major report to finish by the end of tomorrow, so he has priority.

Another beautiful day, although too hot if anything! The sunrise was perfect again, though the thick patchy fog on the A1 was less appealing. On the way back I took the dogs to Aversely wood, a Woodland Trust site at Sawtry. It is perched on the top of a hill, one of the few in Cambridgeshire, and as I climbed up there were amazing misty views over the fens.

Unfortunately these proved almost impossible to photograph - the sun was too high and the mist blindingly white with few features visible. The field next to the wood had a flock of sheep, an unusual sight in Cambridgeshire which is a predominantly arable county. This one seemed to be very content lying in the morning sun.
