Piran II--Fishing Boats

This morning after breakfast I prowled out onto the jetty along one side of Piran's very small harbor (not even visible in yesterday's blip--there it's out of the frame to the left--what's visible is simply a marina).

The two boats in the foreground must be involved in fishing; tied up behind me there was one full-fledged fishing boat (though small)--it's not at all a real fishing port. The main activity was two pleasure boats loading passengers (one group of school kids) for tours into the bay.

The tall tower in the background belongs to Piran's largest church, overlooking the main square--the tower peeks out on the left in yesterday's blip.

Afterwards we drove north (ca. 150 km) to our B&B near the Ljubljana airport--it's on a farm in a small village. We were served an excellent dinner--great conversation with a couple from Holland (they were interested to hear about my Dutch heritage). Tomorrow we fly to Paris--we'll be sorry to leave Slovenia.
