Spinnakery

Edinburgh to Portsmouth, proving just how small our wee island is, what with not leaving that early, not bombing down the road, and yet arriving in Portsmouth around 3 hours before the ferry, giving plenty time to wander around the Gunwharf Quays which, while full of the likes of chains such as All Bar One and Tiger Tiger, could teach the Edinburgh planners a thing or two about how to develop a waterfront. Oh, and there was a Wagamama which was perfect for food before sailing, all set under the fab Spinnaker Tower in the setting sun.

Uneventful travel through the country, finished off with a good meal and a relaxed boarding onto a half-empty ferry. Ideal.
