The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Andrew Carnegie, the Scottish American philanthropist, apart from building a concert hall in New York, gave large amounts of money to set up libraries so that everyone, regardless of social position and money, would have access to books and thus education.

Brentford has one of these Carnegie Libraries, along with other local areas. As you can see, ours was built in 1903. I might blip the one in Teddington one day because it's much more architecturally interesting.

And I really need to catch up on everyone else's blipping cos I've been very lax for the last few days.
