Whale Stone - October Origins

This is my whale stone, this stone was found on a beach, complete with black eye, in west Wales when I was a young whipper snapper. We had many great holidays around Newgale with our family, including cousins, aunties, uncles, grandparents and of course my parents and my brother. We used to go twice a year to converted farm houses, all the children made up games to play as we were not infected in those days with electronicitus. One of the things that sticks in my mind is when we used to run into the sea at night fully clothed (as it was either Spring or Autumn, Brrrr) things were so much simpler back then. On the last day of the holiday we used to play tricks on everyone, the one time, us kids poored washing powder all over our grandads car so all the way home when they put the heaters on there was a snow storm through the vents, they were not happy, whoops.

We had a WHALE of a time.
