SWANS ON THE RUN

I thought I should do an outdoor blip today. I took some reasonable
"wild evening sky" pics, but others here do that so much better, so
back to the slightly bizarre. This pair were in a particularly un-
picturesque part of town where the only nearby water is a wide ditch,
but they seemed content enough and didn't mind me getting reasonably
close (but still out of wing reach).

Go large!

MikeBN adds this which is very apt:

Le Cygne
I saw a swan that had escaped from his cage,
That stroked the dry pavement with his webbed feet
And dragged his white plumage over the uneven ground.
Beside a dry gutter the bird opened his beak,

From a poem in French by Charles Baudelaire mid 1800's
